1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Zebralines (“Zebralines,” “we,” “us”), operated from India, governing your access to and use of the Zebralines website, workspace, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
2. The Service
Zebralines provides browser-based tools to design, preview, and export barcode labels (including bulk workflows from spreadsheets you load locally). Barcode rendering and export file generation occur on your device unless a feature explicitly states otherwise.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We use Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics for website analytics (aggregate traffic and usage statistics only), as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Analytics does not receive barcode values, CSV data, or exported label files from your workspace.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the Service where prohibited by law.
4. Accounts and security
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- All activity under your account
Notify us promptly at support@zebralines.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may sign in with email/password, magic link, or Google OAuth, subject to those providers' terms.
5. Plans, trials, and billing
5.1 Plans
Paid plans (Starter, Professional, and Studio) and custom Enterprise arrangements are described on our pricing page. Feature limits (for example, labels per month, export formats, DPI caps, CSV import rows, and saved layout slots) depend on your active plan.
5.2 Bulk-import trial (free accounts)
New accounts start on the Free plan. Free accounts may optionally activate a one-time bulk-import trial from the workspace (currently 500 labels total, no payment required) with Professional-class features for bulk workflows. The trial is label-based, not time-based, and cannot be restarted once used. When the label cap is reached, access reverts to Free unless you subscribe to a paid plan.
5.3 Subscriptions and payment
Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly, as selected) until canceled. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future periods with notice as required by law.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments (or a successor payment provider) via hosted checkout. You authorize us and Dodo Payments to charge your payment method for recurring fees and applicable taxes.
5.4 Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel renewal through your account billing portal or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future charges; access typically continues through the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated.
Refund terms are described in our Refund Policy. Except where required by law or explicitly offered there, fees may be non-refundable, including partial periods and unused label quotas.
5.5 Taxes
You are responsible for applicable sales, VAT, GST, or similar taxes unless we state we collect them at checkout.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate any law or third-party rights
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems except as permitted by law
- Use the Service to generate barcodes for unlawful goods, counterfeit products, or fraudulent labeling
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Circumvent plan limits, license checks, or security controls
- Resell or sublicense the Service except under a written Enterprise agreement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Your content and data
“Your Content” means information you provide to us (account details, support messages, saved layout metadata) and information you process locally (spreadsheets, barcode values, exports).
- You retain ownership of Your Content.
- You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display account-related data solely to operate the Service.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and suitability of barcodes and labels you produce, including GS1, UPC/EAN, regulatory, and retailer requirements. Zebralines draws symbols based on your inputs; we do not warrant compliance with any standard or retailer policy.
- You represent that you have all rights necessary to use Your Content with the Service.
Because barcode payloads are processed locally, you are responsible for backing up your spreadsheets and exported files. We are not a backup service for your catalog data.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, branding, documentation, and design, is owned by Zebralines and its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or source code.
Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (for example, our cloud infrastructure provider, Dodo Payments, Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics, and Google sign-in). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF GENERATED BARCODES.
Without limiting the foregoing:
- We do not guarantee that barcodes will scan correctly in every environment.
- We do not guarantee GS1, FDA, retailer, or customs compliance.
- We do not guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases, disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
These limits apply even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of certain damages; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zebralines and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by nature should survive (including payment obligations accrued, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive.
14. Dispute resolution and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Informal resolution: Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@zebralines.io and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Venue: Except where prohibited, exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms lies with the courts located in India, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there where permitted.
EU/UK consumers: Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections you may have under local law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the last updated date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
16. General
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
- Severability: If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices: We may send notices to your account email or through the Service.
