1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Zebralines (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on zebralines.io (the “Service”).
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your session, preferences, or security settings.
Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage, which store data in your browser for limited purposes (for example, during a single signup flow).
In this policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies where relevant.
3. How we use cookies
Zebralines uses a minimal set of cookies and storage. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, behavioral profiling, or selling your data.
3.1 Strictly necessary (essential)
These are required to operate the Service. Without them, you cannot sign in, stay signed in securely, or use paid features tied to your account.
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication session cookies | Maintain your signed-in session, refresh access tokens, and protect account access (httpOnly, secure in production) | Session / per our identity provider's expiry settings | Cloud infrastructure provider (on our behalf) |
Exact cookie names may vary as our identity provider updates its SDK; they are always used only for authentication and session security.
3.2 Functional (limited)
We may use short-lived session storage in your browser to remember choices during a flow (for example, that you intended to start a trial after sign-up). This data stays on your device and is cleared when the browser tab session ends or when no longer needed.
3.3 Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our marketing pages and signed-in areas at an aggregate level. They collect aggregated page views, referrers, browser and device type, and coarse location (country or region). Barcode values, label text, CSV or spreadsheet contents, and workspace export files are not sent to analytics.
- Plausible Analytics: Designed for privacy-friendly measurement; typically minimal or no advertising cookies. Privacy information
- Google Analytics: May set analytics cookies (for example, _ga) to distinguish visits and measure traffic. We use it for site analytics, not for selling your data. Privacy information
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plausible analytics (if used) | Count page views and traffic sources | Per Plausible documentation (often none) | Plausible Analytics |
| _ga, _ga_* (typical) | Distinguish users/sessions and measure site usage | Up to 2 years (per Google documentation) | Google Analytics |
3.4 Marketing and advertising
We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, behavioral ad networks, or selling your data. If we introduce additional non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before they are placed.
4. Third-party cookies
When you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies under its own policies if you use their sign-in flow. We do not control those cookies; see Google's privacy and cookie documentation.
Our payment checkout (Dodo Payments) may set cookies when you complete a purchase on their hosted pages. Those cookies are governed by Dodo Payments's policies.
5. Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using account features.
To clear session storage, close the browser tab or clear site data for Zebralines in your browser's privacy controls.
We do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals in a standardized way because there is no industry consensus; we limit tracking by design as described above.
6. Regional notices
EEA / UK: Strictly necessary cookies are used based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functioning Service (and, where applicable, to perform our contract with you). Analytics through Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics is used to measure audience and improve the Service; where required, we rely on consent or another valid legal basis and will provide a consent mechanism for non-essential analytics cookies (including Google Analytics). We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising networks.
California: We do not sell personal information collected via cookies. See our Privacy Policy for CCPA/CPRA rights.
India: Zebralines is operated from India. This Cookie Policy is governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory local requirements where you access the Service.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the last updated date. Material changes may be described in our Privacy Policy or communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
